Camo Meets Metals

Welcome to an outfit I shot towards the end of 2018 when we were still at our old apartment & had access to a roof lol now I know that this outfit has a lot going on, but I don’t think it’s too much….right? Most of the time I think if I just add a monochrome element in there, like a black or white item, then it makes it a little less in your face but still a statement. And for the amount of money & trouble I went through went through with these pants, I will wear them every chance I get. *rolls eyes*

H&M did a collaboration with Ace Tee and this top was apart of that collection. All of the pieces were right up my alley because of the street style element, but I only grabbed a few pieces online that I knew I would get the most wear out of. I loved this top especially because it was a different spin on just your everyday black mesh long sleeve bodysuit (which I also have) and can be styled like this or underneath a t-shirt for a layered look. And it has thumb holes!

I’ve also noticed that I don’t get enough landscape photos to insert in my blog posts because I’m so use to taking portraits for my #ootd that it never crosses my mind. And I don’t know if it’s a myth or not, but I’ve heard that portrait photos usually do better on Instragram….has anyone else heard of that? I just prefer it because those are usually the ones that turn out the best lol

My Fenty Sneaker Boots will always be a favorite in my shoe collection (+ I really need to clean them) because white shoes tend to go with everything & I loooove the many details that comes along with it. (i.e. thick long laces, platforms, bull ring zip) I really wish I would have got the black ones as well because I wear these so often! They also give me a few more inches in height and when you’re short like me, every inch counts.

I’m also really into the whole background matching your outfit kind of thing at the moment, so I was super excited when I saw this at the top of our apartment building because I didn’t have to go far & wide to find the perfect background. It’s just more pleasing to the eye, in my opinion, when everything matches or even just compliments well together. And we run across a lot of different locations when driving and tell ourselves…”we’ll come back here.” We never do or just flat out forget about it lol *face palm*

But I also feel like as long as you don’t have a “busy” background or too much going on in the picture, then that works too. Because sometimes you just can’t get the perfect shot, especially if it’s during mid day, when everybody is out unless your ducked off in a corner somewhere or want to spend some time on Photoshop editing everything you don’t want in the picture out. And I don’t know about you, but that’s not the route I want to go lol

And it may not seem like it in these pictures, but this was at the beginning of fall where the temperatures dropped tremendously & ya girl just sucked it up. I actually enjoy cold weather, but it’s the wind that I don’t too much like. Spring is going to be here before you know it & then I won’t be able to wear my coats anymore T_T so I’m appreciating every last bit of cold weather right now.

Also didn’t realize my pockets were unzipped until I looked at the photos afterwards, but we’re going to pretend like that was on purpose 🙂 I think I just needed somewhere to put my hands because most of the time I don’t know what to do with them with looking awk lol but these worked out below.
