Exploring New Areas

I have been seeing these arrangement of colorful umbrellas all over Facebook and Instagram in Pensacola, FL’s downtown area and knew I had to check it out as soon as I could! Since we weren’t from the area, of course we didn’t know where to look to find them. And once we thought we were close, that’s when the slow driving started to happen so we wouldn’t miss it. You would think they would stand out once spotted, but I overlooked directly across from a bar called World of Beer and I didn’t realize it until we got out of the car and started walking around. *face palm*

But you know when you get tired of seeing the same area over and over again? And having to shoot in the same areas that everyone goes to? Yeah, that happened. I was getting so fed up with the downtown area scenery we normally shoot at because every spot we’ve already been to, so it was nice to get a change of scenery that wasn’t too far from home.

One of my self goals this year was to branch out and wear more color and although it was hard at first, I’m starting to LOVE every bit of it. Now you see nothing but colors and stripes in my wardrobe xD

I didn’t think I would get much wear out of this pleated midi skirt from H&M because it’s not normally a piece I would gravitate towards, but I thought I should try to incorporate it somehow since it hit me at a nice length that doesn’t make me seem too short. Slogan tees and sneakers are always a go-to for me and I think it worked perfectly for this outfit.
