February Outfit Roundup

This quarantine/social distancing life has me being the laziest bum ever but also giving me time to get my creative juices flowing and put out some content I’ve had on pause + catching up on Grey’s Anatomy. So I thought I would dedicate this post to all the outfits I wore in the month of February and what I got up to that day. Most of the pieces are thrifted so I am not able to provide links, but I will try to find similar options at a decent price point for those who want that option.

February was exciting because it was my first full month in my Brooklyn apartment and I now have all my belongings with not enough space T_T apartment/room tour coming not soon, but I’m still trying to unpack and also live in the space at the time. I should be able to do that with all this time on my hands, huh? .-. but I hope you guys are staying safe out there and doing what you can to get through this – it’s getting hectic here in NYC and I’m ready to get back to my regularly scheduled program.

_ 02.07 | NYFW

I moved at the perfect time (to me) because of NYFW and that’s something I’ve always wanted to experience in my lifetime. It’s not as hectic as people make it seem and the shows I attended weren’t too long so I was in and out most of the time. Of course, if you go to the more known fashion houses/brands they would be more exciting but still grateful for my experience. This was one look I caught on camera down the street of my apartment and the rest is just a memory in my brain x] I was still working with the clothes I initially brought which means limited wardrobe so I didn’t have too many options, but I was happy with this one the most.

_ 02.08 Wandering in Soho

The following day, my roommate Palesa had a pop up she wanted to attend and invited Mylisha and I to tag along if we wanted. So we got ready and headed to Soho, which is one of my favorite but also very crowded areas in the city, and waited in line. It was very windy this day and I had to pull out one of my recent purchases before I moved from Zara’s sale – this jacket. It’s not only lined in the body but the arms as well! So ya girl was warm and happy from neck down lol after the pop up we got super hungry and stopped by Chipotle before heading in for the night.

_ 02.14 | Valentine’s With Friends

Ya girl celebrated herself on Valentine’s with my friend Tosha who just moved to New York as well and both had nothing else to do – it was just another day for us. We did some window shopping around Times Square, had burgers and drinks at Junior’s, and then finished off the night at a rooftop bar called cloudM Bowery with the most amazing view. The temps weren’t on our side either and was probably one of the coldest days since I’ve been in the city.

Calvin Klein invited me to their headquarters before they had their I LOVE EVERYONE OF ME pop up and this was the look I went for. This was actually my first ‘influencer event’ while being in New York and I am forever grateful to experience these kind of things. The fragrance they were promoting is suppose to be their first gender neutral scent and also created with sustainable packaging. We love an eco-friendly brand trying to make the world a better place to live in. I invited my lovely roommate Mylisha to help me get content and also be my social support lol

_ 02.16 | Greenwich Village Exploring

You’ll probably see Tosha’s face numerous times because we literally live about a 15-20 min walking distance from each other – which I am very thankful for. I wanted to go out, take some photos, and just explore a little so we decided on Washington Square Park. I told myself when I moved here that I need to wear my clothes because I own WAY too many not to and what better place to get dressed up then in New York?! We also stopped in a few random shops along the way and then ended the night at the movies to see The Photograph. I only got a couple shots of me and majority of them were of Tosha lol so here’s a look at both our fits this day.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this roundup of fits. Make sure to sign up with your email to see when I post next and continue to be great. Much love, Neika.
