Feelin’ Grey

I’ve always liked a good chunky knit sweater, but really attracted to grey knits at the moment. It’s something that was missing from my closet for some time now and I don’t really know why it took me this long to get one.

The one pictured is from H&M from their Black Friday collection that just passed and I knew this was my chance to finally obtain the missing piece to the puzzle that’s called my wardrobe. It hits at the perfect length and also a nice charcoal grey that can be dressed up with ankle boots or dressed down with some sneakers like I did.

And I’ve always been a fan of turtlenecks that aren’t too much around the neck because for me, that’s just a disaster waiting to happen with my makeup.

It’s always the smallest accessories or closte attention to details that can change a whole look. Without the eyelet/ribbon detail on my pants, polka dots on my sneakers, sunglasses, or jewelry I tossed on, this would have been a very simple look.

Although it is still a very simple outfit, I believe it became more elevated with just a few little “extras” to make it look like you put effort when you didn’t.

Before I was into color, I always kept my accessories loud to make up for all the monochromatic pieces I owned. Now it’s the total opposite where I let my wardrobe speak for itself and keep my accessories to a minimum. *face palm*

But again, it all just goes back to your personal style and preference.
