Streets of New Orleans

I’ve neglected my blog for over a month now and I’m so sad about it D; but work has been crazy busy since March and April are usually spring break season months and everyone is out of school. And all I ever want to do is relax after I get off…. the adult life is great right?

So me and Keyonna bought Ariana Grande concert tickets waaaaay back in October (New Orleans, Smoothie King Center) and boy did it come fast. It was either New Orleans or Atlanta and New Orleans is only two hours away from us vs. 5 hours…. so you see how easy that made our decision? Lol but we decided to just make a day trip out of it. And what better way to come back than pictures on the street of New Orleans?!

We always get good vibes when we come and everyone is always so friendly! The streets are filled with multiple bars, restaraunts, gift shops, bakeries, and many more. There’s never a dull moment. We also always hit up our favorite restaurant which is Bubba Gump & Shrimp! Their shrimp mac & cheese is always my number one choice and it never fails me. We were on a tight schedule as we entered the city at 5 and the concert started at 7:30 and I knew I wanted to hit up H&M and Urban Outfitters just because it’s literally right across the street.

(pictured below was our view of our outside seats at Bubba Gump & Shrimp)

I’ve had this blouse since Christmas – because Keyonna got it for me 😉 – and just recently purchased this midi skirt from H&M. I’ve always wanted one of these skirts because bloggers make them look SO nice! But since I’m only like 5’3, I never thought I could pull it off just because it would definitely swallow me. But this skirt hit me at the right length and the color is also one of my favorites at the moment.

And if you know me, branching out to color isn’t always an option for me. But this red cross body bag from Zara gave this look the right touch and amount of color that I can handle lol for the SS season, I want to start wearing more color and just experiment what fits me and what doesn’t. Reds and yellows are the top two colors that I’m starting to reach for the most right now.
